The Union of ICT Societies of Serbia, JISA, awards with this prestigious award companies which have given special contribution to the development of Serbian and regional IT society. Intending to support their efforts and inventions, Diskobolos is given to those companies with the best ICT achievements. This year, in the category of “public services”, Public Enterprise of PTT communications “Srbija” has been awarded for the SAP implementation project, together with SAP and S&T Serbia. In this project ASAP methodology is applied, all necessary modules of a SAP system were implemented, as well as the interfaces for the integration with legacy IT system. This way, business of PTT “Srbija” is improved on many levels.

The ceremony of giving JISA’s highest local and regional award for the use of ICT technologies has been opened by the minister for telecommunications and IT society, Ms. Jasna Matić. The ceremony took place in the Belgrade Hotel Continental, one of the high class hotels in the city with exceptional media coverage.

On the project realization worked a team of 25 highly qualified S&T professionals, and 48 experts from PTT “Srbija” The entire project was completed efficiently and successfully with optimum resources in less than 18 months.Considering the size and complexity of the organization, this was an outstanding result. With this implementation, PTT became the first Postal Service provider in the Region with SAP.
