LukoilS&T Serbia Takes Care of Lukoil InformationLukoil is one of the world’s leading vertically integrated oil & gas companies. Main activities of the Company are exploration and production of oil & gas, production of petroleum products and petrochemicals, and marketing of these outputs. Lukoil petroleum products are sold in Russia, Eastern Europe, CIS countries and the USA. Lukoil is the second largest private oil Company worldwide by proven hydrocarbon reserves. The Company has around 1.3% of global oil reserves and 2.1% of global oil production. By the end of 2004 Lukoil's sales network covered 17 countries of the world, including Russia, the CIS (Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine), Europe (Bulgaria, Hungary, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Serbia, Romania, Czech Republic, Estonia) and the USA, and consisted of 199 tank farms and 5,405 filling stations. All leading Serbian system integrators were invited to bid. Lukoil Technology Services (LTS), a subsidiary of Lukoil, understood advantages of S&T company as a partner and proposed S&T solution, so they decided to award us project of information consolidation in line with Information Lifecycle Management. The project consisted of storage, SAN, backup and data archiving and gave LTS a consolidated, advanced and regulatory compliant solution for storing information. It improved availability and performance of customer’s systems as SAP, Exchange, Documentum, Oracle and SQL. The solution is based on EMC technology: Clariion CX3, Centera, NetWorker and DiskXtender and included S&T implementation services, data migration and 24x7 maintenance. “Sensitive migration phase was performed professionally, we just came in the morning and everything was working”, says Saša Parlić, IT Manager of Lukoil Technology Services. “We got a very good IT infrastructure for our information, but above all we got a reliable partner and excellent service from S&T Serbia”. This deal represents a milestone in cooperation of S&T and Lukoil world-wide. |
