The customer

Serbian Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Society and its National Information and Internet Agency, are two main state institutions in charge of the development and introduction of eGovernment in the Republic of Serbia.

The challenge


Being in line with strategy to improve the efficiency and access to public information and services the Government of Serbia reached a decision to take a big step in information society development by offering a state Portal www.euprava.gov.rs which represents unique access point on Internet for providing electronic public services for citizens, businesses and officials. At the time joined forces of S&T Serbia and S&T Croatia won the project it represented a significant challenge to whole national IT community. Drawing on many years of experience with delivering complex IT solutions, S&T was recognized as a trusted partner who justified highly set expectations and successfully completed the project in just four months.

The project


The main goals of the project were increasing the efficiency and transparency of administration and offering new service delivery channels and quick access to comprehensive information 24 hours a day.
Solution had to be carefully designed in order to provide complex functionalities, high performance and reliability and at the same time fulfil the basic concept of usage simplicity. The wizard for electronic request submission, tax payments synchronization with National Treasury and the system for generating electronic services were the most innovative and therefore the most demanding tasks. Their realization along with the delivery of other subsystems such as content management system, time stamping authority or the system for processing electronic requests make a firm foundation for future development and continuous improvement of public services.
