S&T successfully carried out SSA Global WM4000 implementation for Jugohemija Pharmacy

S&T helped Jugohemija Pharmacy to prepare for future development plans and optimize whole supply chain by implementing SSA Global WM4000.

Having been almost forty years continually present on domestic drug market, JUGOHEMIJA’s daughter company JUGOHEMIJA PHARMACY turned into one of the leaders in that field thanks to its vast experience, competence and excellent relations with both domestic and foreign partners. JUGOHEMIJA PHARMACY wanted to enhance the wholesale area of pharmaceutical products. In order to support that plan, company invested in semi-automated conveyor system for fast manipulation of goods in the warehouse (Warehouse Control System of Austrian company Knapp). Information System of whole JUGOHEMIJA group is based on Win/SQL Server/Power Builder platform. Company had to select Warehouse Management Solution to integrate host IS with Knapp WCS, in order to cover JUGOHEMIJA PHARMACY’s core business function – importing, storing and distributing drugs.

Customer decided for SSA Global WM4000 because such specialized solution was capable to answer all demands and future development plans. Strong references among logistics and pharmaceutical companies, fact that implementation team has already acquired experience in integration with Knapp WCS, and definitely S&T reputation as a reliable business partner were that additional winning arguments.

SSA WM4000 project started in June 2005 and system was operational in November 2005. Together with S&T Yugoslavia and JUGOHEMIJA PHARMACY also experts from SSA GLOBAL’s partner company SPAN were participating in the project, which gives truly international dimension to this exciting project. It is managed according to proven Global Execution Methodology, which already shows results.

JUGOHEMIJA PHARMACY managed to support its whole supply chain by investing in SSA WM4000 and Knapp WCS. Shortening of delivery times, improved customer satisfaction and productivity of workers, while at the same time number of articles and volume of demands/goods flow increases, are key performance indicators which are achieved by usage of these systems.
